Day 1: Hanoi - Thai Nguyen - Bac Can - Ba Be (L, D)

AM 07h30 : Get picked up by tour guide and driver at your hotel for departure to Ba Be. After 2 hours driving, our first stop is Thai Nguyen City where we have visit to Thai Nguyen Museum to learn about the custom and culture of Thai Nguyen people.

Lunch is served in a restaurant in Thai Nguyen city center.

PM: Continue the route to Ba Be while admiring amazing landscape along the road. Make some enroute stops to catch photos.

16h00 : Arrive in Ba Be. Check in your room.

Spend the evening exploring Ba Be by night, to the escost of the tour guide. Stay overnight in a local house

Day 2: Ba Be Lake - Cao Bang (B, L, D)

AM: After having breakfast, we embark on a lovely boat trip on Ba Be Lake to admire the natural beauty of Puong Cave, Ao Tien, Dau Dang waterfall and Ba Goa Islet.

Have lunch in a restaurant nearby Dau Dang Cave.

PM: Return to the local house to collect your luggage then get on bus moving to Cao Bang. Check in to hotel and stay overnight in Cao Bang.

Day 3: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfall (B, L, D)

AM: After breakfast time, get transferred to Ban Gioc Falls, which is considered one of the nicest falls in Vietnam. Ban Gioc falls thirty meters. It is separated into three falls by rocks and trees, and the thundering effect of the water hitting the cliffs can be heard kilometers away. There is lot of time for photo hunting at the falls.

PM: Return to Cao Bang. Visit villages of the locals in Cao Bang.

Day 4: Cao Bang - Lang Son - Hanoi (B, L)

AM 8h00 : Get on bus to return to Hanoi. Stop en route the way to visit Lang Son City with well-known attractions like Tam Thanh Cave, Nhi Thanh Cave and Dong Kinh Market. Have lunch in Lang Son. onwards to Hanoi arriving early evening.

Day 1: Hanoi - Ha Giang (L, D)

Our guide will pick-up you at your hotel in Hanoi. On the way to Ha Giang we will visit Ethnology Museum in Thai Nguyen province. Arrive Hoang Su Phi, the land of terrace field. Meet our local guide and enjoy the first homestay.

Day 2: Trekking day (B, L, D)

First day trekking to Nam Hong village (5-6 hours), on the way you will have chance to contemplate rice terrace field, mountain, bamboo forest, local hiltribe with their daily life, daily works. Hill tribe here are mainly Man Ta Pan and long-dress Dzao. Have lunch en route.

Overnight at homestay with Man Ta Pan house.

Day 3: Trekking day (B, L, D)

Walking to Phin Ho village (5-6 hours).

Stay with local people, Tay hill tribe.

Day 4: Ha Giang - Hanoi (B, L)

Walking to the road and get on our car back to Hanoi.

Notes:

- It is compulsory to have security permission from Ha Giang police, so copy of passport and visa is needed 3 days at least before starting the trek in Ha Giang.

- Personal luggage when trekking should be no more than 6kg. Good trekking shoes, rain gear, warm clothes (Nov. to Mar.) and insect repellent are of great use.

- Daily trekking about 15-20 kms.

- The last day of the tour can be upgrade to Eco-lodge with a surcharge of $20/person/night (twin share room)

- Private A/C transfer Hanoi - Ha Giang and vice-versa.

- English speaking guide, local guide, porter.
